The first trailer for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is here! Fans got their first look at the series starring Jude Law at 2024's D23 Expo where the first teaser trailer was revealed.

The trailer just drips 1980s adventure flicks like The Goonies and E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. From the kids accidentally finding a ship to the hover bikes that zip them around. Finding a random ship in the woods kicks them off on their journey, and it looks to be a great mix of practical effects and CGI. The show is stunning.

Skeleton Crew follows the adventures of four kids who get lost in the galaxy with a mysterious Force user named Jod Na Nawood, portrayed by Law. The kids must work together to find their way home on the ship the Onyx Cinder. On the journey, they also meet a droid named SM-33, who is voiced by Nick Frost, who begrudgingly helps them. The series has been described as very much a family show and perfect for kids, playing into the Amblim movies of the 1980s.

The four child stars are named Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers, KB (Kyriana Kratter), Neel (Robert Timothy Smith), and Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong). Neel, in particular, has become an instant fan favorite character. The internet went wild for the blue elephant looking boy. We don't know Neel's alien species at this time. Most are assuming he's an Ortolan like Max Rebo in Return of the Jedi. However, the Emmy Award winning preschool series, Young Jedi Adventures, introduced a brand new elephant like species that have yet to be named. They hail from the planet of Andraven and actually look more like Neel than the Ortolan, which only shares the blue color.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew will debut on Disney+ on December 3. Check out the trailer below.
