The Bad Batch finally explains why the Empire wants Omega

The Bad Batch Season 3, episode 10, "Identity Crisis," is a must-watch if you want to know why Omega is so special. The episode dove into her importance to the Empire's plans, and why Nala Se made sure that she escaped.

While showing Dr. Emerie Karr the specimens for Project Necromancer, Dr. Hemlock explains why Omega must be re-captured as soon as possible. According to Hemlock, Omega is of vital importance to the project and explains why:

"As you know, M-count cannot be directly replicated from the source. However, Nala-Se knew of another way, which is why she aided in Omega's escape. The young clone's blood is the only binder that's proven to be compatible with their DNA to re-create their M-count levels."

This is the first time someone with the kind of blood Omega has been revealed in Star Wars. Her blood is vital to the Empire's future if they want to replicate Force-sensitivity in other beings. An army of Force-sensitive clones can't be created by simply transferring blood from a Force-sensitive specimen into someone else. There aren't enough Force-sensitive "specimens" out there for the Empire's purposes.

That's why someone like Omega, whose blood is compatible with Force-sensitive people's DNA, can be used to re-create the same amount of Midi-chlorian counts in someone or something else. This could explain why Moff Gideon was able to create so many Force-sensitive clones of himself that would form a new generation of clone troopers. The Empire can form an army of Force-sensitive clone troopers using their specimens and Omega's blood.

As Omega is one of a kind, if she's re-captured, she would likely remain in the Empire's custody for as long as she's needed, which could be years. Nala Se knew of this and helped her escape. However, now that Omega has surrendered, there's no telling which direction this is headed. The series could very well end on a very dark note for Omega.
