It's another Wednesday, which means another week for Star Wars comics. From The High Republic era to the dastardly deeds of everyone's favorite messy archeologist, there's a little bit of something for everyone this week in Star Wars comics. Let's get into it!

The High Republic Adventures – Saber for Hire #1

Ty Yorrick is a fan-favorite character who has been missing so far in Phase III of storytelling... until now! The once Jedi turned saber for hire is absolutely thriving behind the Stormwall of the Nihil. Along with her apprentice, Drewen, the two face challenges in this all-ages comic. Saber for Hire is written by Cavan Scott with Rachael Scott as the illustrator and cover artist.

Mace Windu #3

Mace Windu's day could be going better. Teaming up with the smuggler, Azita Cruuz, they need to survive bounty hunters sent from the Hutt clan and two cultists, the Dusk Weavers of the Had'le Path. To protect information that could endanger the entire galaxy, Mace must use all of his skills and trust in the Force to survive. Mace Windu #3 is written by Marc Bernardin, illustrated by Georges Jeanty, and the cover artist Mateus Manhanini.

Star Wars by Gillen & Pak Omnibus

Jumping over to books out on Tuesday, April 23, the first is a hardcover omnibus, Star Wars by Gillen & Pak Omnibus. This is exactly what it sounds like; it is a collection of comic issues from the great Kieron Gillen and Greg Pak. Within the book are the issues Star Wars 38-75, Star Wars Annual #4, Star Wars: Empire Ascendant #1, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi - The Storm of Crait #1. The cover artist for the omnibus is Phil Noto. You can pick up Star Wars by Gillen & Pak Omnibus anywhere you shop for books.

Star Wars: Doctor Aphra Vol. 7 — Dark Droids

While it has the "Dark Droids" title from the comic book event from last year, Star Wars: Doctor Aphra Vol. 7—Dark Droids wraps up Alyssa Wong's run of Doctor Aphra. The poignant series comes to a close, making it one of the most satisfying endings in a long time in Star Wars comics. The cover artist is Derrick Chew, and this trade paperback arrives on April 23 wherever you pick up your books.

That's it for Star Wars comics this week. Next time we wrap up the month of April with the arrival of the new miniseries featuring the iconic baddie, Darth Maul - Black, White & Red, just in time for The Phantom Menace's 25th anniversary.
