The final trailer for Andor Season 2 has arrived and hoo boy, does it set the tone for the series.
Where the first Season 2 trailer set an energetic energy as "The Revolution Starts Now" by Steve Earle bellowed against the Star Wars action, this latest trailer is more in line of what people were probably expecting. There is a somber and dire feeling over the entire thing, setting the stage for all the players.
A Klaxon horn sounds throughout this trailer, which is just the best bookend and by far my favorite part of the entire thing. The Rogue One: A Star Wars Story teaser trailer had a blaring Klaxon horn. If we don't get another official trailer for Andor, calling back to the piece of media where Cassian Andor's story began is such a lovely touch. That first Rogue One teaser was so incredibly iconic as it would introduce a new idea of films outside of the Skywalker Saga. It was the first jump into new kinds of stories for the franchise and our first time seeing these characters we would come to love. It was the beginning of a new era, while Andor will close it out.
Many familiar faces, such as Mon Mothma, Luthen Rael, Saw Gerrera, Bix Caleen, and Brasso, return with Cassian. However, the latest poster revealed by StarWars.com shows some new additions to the show.
Via The Hollywood Reporter, the official description for Andor's second season states, "Season two will see the characters and their relationships intensify as the horizon of war draws near and Cassian becomes a key player in the Rebel Alliance. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound."
Andor Season 2 arrives exclusively on Disney+ on April 22. Season 1 is currently streaming on both Disney+ and Hulu through April 22.
