New York Comic Con has come and gone. In case you missed it, here is everything that came out of the Lucasfilm Publishing's Dark Horse Comics panel. If you're looking for the news from the Marvel Comics and book panel, we already have you covered here!
The High Republic
The High Republic Adventures line was a major focus of the panel with the multimedia project coming up on its planned end with Phase III. Building on the reveals from the previous Marvel Comics panel, issues 14-17 will have a stellar connected cover for the massive Battle of Eriadu.
For the upcoming special issue The High Republic Adventures – Wedding Spectacular which will see the marriage of Lula Talisola and Zeen Mrala. StarWars.com shared a great inside look photo of the guest list, which includes basically everyone who ever showed up in the comic book run. The cover for the comic is also stunning, with the talented Cherriielle designing their wedding dresses.
Wrapping up The High Republic side of things, Dispatches from the Occlusion Zone got a sneak peek with Ty Yorrick and her not-padawan-who-is-totally-her-padawan partner for their upcoming issue. It was revealed that Alyssa Wong will pen the Battle of Eriadu one-shot comic. Finally, Vernestra Rwoh returns to The High Republic Adventures Annual by Justina Ireland which will include a flashback scene with Stellan Gios. All of these looks are available on StarWars.com.
Adventures in the Republic
Several new books were announced in the era of the Republic, either set during or before the events of The Clone Wars. We also got a cover reveal for an upcoming title!
The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents is the first miniseries featuring Clone Force 99. From the mind of Michael Moreci and illustrated by Reese Hannigan, the Batch will hunt for a Separatist agent in one of their most dangerous missions yet in the Clone Wars! New York Comic Con revealed the cover of the first issue.
Dark Horse also announced two more graphic novels for the Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories series with General Grievous and Mace Windu each getting their own book. We also got a look at the covers too.
10 Years of The Force Awakens
Ethan Sacks crashed the panel in a surprise reveal! To celebrate 10 years of The Force Awakens, he will be heading up a Poe Dameron mini-series. Set before the events of the film, the pilot is teamed up once again with his loyal droid friend BB-8 for an adventure. Fingers crossed we get some Star Wars Resistance nods in the comic!
