Another Star Wars Celebration has come and gone, but there's plenty to look back on before we put it all behind us. Here is a quick recap of all the movie and show news that fans can start to prepare for in the following year.
The Mandalorian & Grogu
For the first time ever, Din Djarin and Grogu are coming to the big screen. The Mandalorian & Grogu, which is now expected in theaters on May 22, 2026, will send the clan of two on another epic adventure across the galaxy.
Pedro Pascal will reprise his role as The Mandalorian himself, and fans can expect to see plenty of faces, old and new -- and in IMAX, too!
Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2
While we don't yet have a release date for the second season of Dave Filoni's Ahsoka series, we do know to expect it next year. The series' next season will see the return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, as well as the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn and the resurgence of the Mortis gods from The Clone Wars.
There's still a lot to be revealed about this next season's story, but apparently Thrawn is going to have someone "new" to battle. Sort of.
Maul: Shadow Lord
Star Wars fans have been begging for another animated series since before The Bad Batch aired its final episode. Lucasfilm Animation is delivering on that hope with Maul: Shadow Lord, a new series set to premiere on Disney+ next year.
This series will take place after the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series, but with a new animation style. The story will follow Maul during his time with Crimson Dawn, and welcomes actor Sam Witwer back as the voice of the title character.
Star Wars Visions Presents: The Ninth Jedi
While we are getting a third volume of the beloved Star Wars: Visions animated anthology series this fall, another surprise announcement emerged from this weekend's festivities. The original "The Ninth Jedi" short from the first volume is getting its own limited series.
This "Visions Presents" series will follow the main character from Volume 1, but not before the story gets another continuation episode in Volume 3 this October.
