With 7 episodes of Skeleton Crew under our belt, speculation about the show's ending is rampant. Here are our predictions for the finale, which promises to be an exciting conclusion that will determine the fate of the main heroes and the planet of At Attin.

Skeleton Crew has been a mix of a few predictable and unpredictable twists and turns, and predicting the finale's fate for Jod and the kids is no easy task

However, there are general outcomes we can predict for the end based on the season finales of other Star Wars shows, including those set in the same era as Skeleton Crew, such as The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, and The Book of Boba Fett.

Here are 5 predictions for the Skeleton Crew Season 1 finale.

1. Someone will die

Although the kids have made it home and are reunited with their parents, their toughest test may await them in the show's finale. Jod Na Nawood has proven to be a scumbag, and he owns a lightsaber and can wield the Force. This, plus his shady record, makes him a suspect to wreak havoc, but the consequences of his actions could include death.

After donning several aliases, committing multiple crimes, and bullying the kids in the last episode, it doesn't seem like Jod can escape a tragic fate. Will he die in the finale, or will it be someone else?

2. Jod will use the Force

If he has the Force, the finale is the best time for Jod to put his gifts to full use. The series hasn't explained whether the other pirates know about Jod's special abilities, but it seems unlikely. That means he could use it in the finale to defend himself, and it will be interesting to see how advanced his abilities are. Are they stronger than he's letting on, or are they almost meaningless?

3. The New Republic may intervene

Will the New Republic help out a planet under siege by a group of criminal pirates in the show's finale? They failed to act properly when Nevarro was under siege in The Mandalorian Season 3. But with Carson Teva fully aware of the threat pirates pose in the Outer Rim, and Din Djarin around to share his experience with Gorian Shard's pirate gang, we may see some New Republic X-Wings enter At Attin's atmosphere in the finale. I'm curious how the New Republic's intervention will impact At Attin's future.

4. We may see some cameos

Will characters from other Star Wars series show up? It's now or never, and if rumors that suggest the finale is over 50 minutes long are correct, that gives the finale enough time for fan service. I wouldn't call it fan service at this point, as the series has held its own for seven episodes. So if the last episode brings characters such as Carson Teva, Hera Syndulla, or Din Djarin, it won't seem like overindulgence. I hope the writers have a few surprises up their sleeves.

5. The kids will win this one

In the finale, all four kids will team up to protect their parents, each other, and At Attin from Jod and other possible threats. In doing so, they'll prove to themselves and their parents that they're becoming responsible young adults who can be trusted. Even though their upbringing has been sheltered, they've seen more action than they ever imagined and learned several important lessons that could help them in the last episode.
