What is Star Wars: Skeleton Crew about?

The two episode premiere will kick off at 6 P.M. PST/9 P.M. EST on Disney+. Then, on the following week on December 10, episodes will be weekly through the end of the series.

Skeleton Crew follows the journey of four kids who discover a ship out in the woods of their supposedly peaceful planet. Wim, played by Ravi Cabot-Conyers, is a dreamer who wants to go on big adventures, unlike his more careful best friend Neel, played by Robert Timothy Smith. Stuck on the journey with them are the rebellious Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) and her bestie KB (Kyriana Kratter).

The kids quickly discover that no one has heard of their planet, which is strange to them. Surely, people would know of an entire planet, right? Insert Obi-Wan Kenobi losing a planet joke here. Thankfully, the kids do find some help in the maybe-Jedi but definitely some kind of Force user Jod Na Nawood, played by Jude Law. There is also the cantankerous droid SM-33, voiced by Nick Frost, who came with the ship as its broken down first mate. The group decides that they will help the kids get back home to their parents.

Things are not great back home, either. Wim's father, Wendle (Tunde Adebimpe), and Fern's mother, Fara (Kerry Condon), are worried sick about their kids. However, Fara is an official, and we see in the trailer that she warns Wendle that things may not be what they appear to be on their planet, something that Lucasfilm ended up taking out of some of their earlier promotional articles. There's a mystery afoot!

Between pirates chasing them down and those sweet 80s vibes, Skeleton Crew is set to be the adventure when it arrives on Disney+ now on December 2.
