Everyone has an opinion about The Book of Boba Fett, but we can all agree that Temuera Morrison is a beloved member of the Star Wars franchise. This is why it's upsetting to hear that Morrison has been left in limbo since the show's finale.

A lot of this has to do with the direction Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni took in The Mandalorian Season 3, as the entire season focused on Bo-Katan and the retaking of Mandalore. Many fans figured that Boba Fett would play a role in reclaiming his father's home world, but that's not what happened. Morrison was understandably upset and admitted that he was waiting for a call from Lucasfilm.

He reiterated the same in a new interview with Collider, where he revealed that he's sad about the silence regarding the future of Boba Fett. Morrison said, "I'm sad too. Where is The Book of Boba Fett Season 2? Where the hell is Season 2? I know they're doing Ahsoka Season 2. I'm going, 'Ah, where's my Season 2?'

Morrison asked all the right questions, and he deserves an answer as to why he hasn't been seen as Boba Fett since The Book of Boba Fett. While the show's future was likely impacted by its poor reception from fans and critics, Morrison can return in multiple ways, and was last seen as a clone in Obi-Wan Kenobi. He's the face of a clone army, including beloved characters like Rex. This isn't lost on Morrison, who says, “I’m trying to ring them up. Can I be Rex and take his helmet off, please?”

Even though Morrison has been left in the dark about his Star Wars future, he says he has a reason to hope. He met Favreau and Filoni at Star Wars Celebration and had a positive interaction with them. Morrison thinks he's being saved for later like a "jar of preservatives." He believes, "I'm one of those peaches, and I've been put up on the shelf. I've been preserved for a later date, and I'm going to be tastier."

It's nice to hear Morrison is optimistic about his future, and even though it doesn't appear that he will play any role in Ahsoka Season 2, he didn't mention The Mandalorian and Grogu, where he would be a better fit. We know Rex and Ahsoka have a history, but that might not be a good fit for Ahsoka because there's already a lot to cover in Season 2. However, Din Djarin and Boba Fett formed a strong friendship during The Mandalorian Season 2 and The Book of Boba Fett, which makes a reunion with Djarin the most logical way to bring Boba Fett back.

The Book of Boba Fett is streaming on Disney+, and The Mandalorian and Grogu premieres next year.
