Everyone surviving that heatwave out there? Summer is brutal, which is why it is the best time to beat that heat with a good Star Wars comic. There's no reason to go outside! Just stay indoors in the A/C and enjoy this week's entries with a possible (but probably predictable betrayal), some Legends, and looking ahead to next week!

Let's get into it.

This Week in Star Wars Comics, it's Doctor Aphra - Chaos Agent #2.

Do old habits die hard? Possibly! Doctor Aphra has teamed up with Luke Skywalker to track down an important artifact for the New Republic. It's incredibly valuable and could catch a pretty penny in a very unstable underworld. Does Aphra stab Skywalker in the back to get her hands on the money? You'll have to read it and see!

Doctor Aphra - Chaos Agent #2 is written by Cherish Chen, the illustrator is Gabriel Guzman, and the cover artist is Ejikure.

Star Wars Modern Era Epic Collection: Yoda's Secret War

There is one trade paperback released this week, titled Star Wars Modern Era Epic Collection: Yoda's Secret War. It is a collection from Jason Aaron's 2015 run of Star Wars. Luke Skywalker explores the journals of Obi-Wan Kenobi as he explains a treacherous mission that Jedi Master Yoda found himself in. This nineteen-issue collection is not one to miss!

Next week, The High Republic takes a bow

Peeking ahead to next week, it's a bittersweet title coming out. The High Republic - The Finale, also titled "The Beacon," is the final entry into The High Republic initiative.... For now! All of the authors and Lucasfilm themselves have confirmed this is just the end of the beginning, and many more stories are planned for the future. However, this chapter of five years of storytelling is coming to a close next week, and it won't be one to miss.

As a fan of The High Republic, it's bittersweet to see this initiative come to an end. The multimedia project has introduced many beloved characters through bestselling novels and comics, two series with Young Jedi Adventures and The Acolyte, both Emmy-nominated, and has done worlds of good for representation across the board. Fans love The High Republic, and I can't wait to see where it goes next.

That's it for this edition of This Week in Star Wars Comics! See you in the splash pages!
