This Week in Star Wars Comics: Part 2 of the Battle of Jakku kicks off!

November is flying by, and so is the current Marvel comic event! This week kicks off Part 2 of The Battle of Jakku of the maxiseries that will bridge the time period of the original trilogy to the sequel era. We also have a few entries from The High Republic as well.

Battle of Jakku — Republic Under Siege #1

The New Republic continues to clash with Imperial warlords as Luke Skywalker seeks out answers about the past Jedi Order. With Han Solo and Chewbacca missing at the moment, our heroes face their most dire moments. However, a certain fan-favorite archeologist just might be the answer the New Republic is looking for.

Battle of Jakku — Republic Under Siege #1 is written by Alex Segura, the illustration are by Stefano Raffaele, Jethro Morales, Jim Campbell, and Alex Sinclair, and the cover artists are Taurin Clarke and Davide Paratore.

The High Republic Adventures #12

The planet of Valo is in danger from the villainous Nihil as they move to take it. The pirate radio broadcaster who goes by the name Scarlet Skull puts out a blast that the planet needs aid. Who answers? Jedi Knight Farzala Tarabal and Padawan Ram Jomaram! But will they be able to protect the planet before it's too late?

The High Republic Adventures #12 is written by Daniel José Older, the illustrators are Caìo Filipe and Michael Atiyeh, and the cover artist is Harvey Tolibao.

The High Republic Phase III Vol. 2 – The Hunted

There's one trade paperback out this week and that's The High Republic Phase III Vol. 2 – The Hunted! This collects issues 6-10 of the Phase II mainline The High Republic comic. However, it also has the one shot The Acolyte: Kelnacca which detailed the life of the wonderful Wookiee from The Acolyte.
