Timothy Olyphant's reply to a question about his Star Wars future could be great news for Cobb Vanth's fans.

Cobb Vanth became a popular new addition to live-action Star Wars after his debut in the premiere of The Mandalorian season 2, but he hasn't been seen again since the finale of The Book of Boba Fett.

Vanth was put on life support after he was shot by the dangerous Cad Bane, but a scene in the finale shows him recovering inside Boba Fett's bacta tank. Since the show ended, fans have been curious to know what the main characters, including Cad Bane, have been up to.

While Boba Fett actor Temuera Morrison and his co-star, Ming-Na Wen, have denied speculation of a possible return to Star Wars, Timothy Olyphant's latest reply to a question about Cobb Vanth has led to speculation that a return is imminent. Olyphant was interviewed by ScreenRant's Joe Deckelmeier at San Diego Comic-Con regarding his upcoming project and was asked whether Cobb Vanth will be seen again.

When asked, "When do you think we'll see Cobb Vanth again in The Mandalorian?", Olyphant replied cautiously, "Joe, I appreciate that question. I'm not allowed to talk about that."

It's hard not to read into Olyphant's carefully worded answer, even though he avoided answering the question almost entirely. The Book of Boba Fett's finale aired in February 2022, and it's been over 3 years since we last saw Olyphant as The Marshal of Freetown. The fact that Olyphant doesn't want to answer any questions about his Star Wars future seems to indicate that he's under contract. It certainly sounds like Cobb Vanth will be back.

Vanth's possible return makes perfect sense, as he's one of Din Djarin's trusted allies and an important resident of Tatooine. If Din Djarin has business on the planet, there's a good chance he might run into The Marshal. Of course, most fans would be inclined to think that Cobb Vanth will be back in The Mandalorian and Grogu, or an episode of The Mandalorian, but there's a chance Vanth might play a role in a different project.

A few years back, Lucasfilm announced Rangers of the New Republic. Plans for the series fell through later on, but the show might be a good way to bring everyone together. Projects like Ahsoka, The Mandalorian, Skeleton Crew, and The Book of Boba Fett are all part of a larger plan that leads to Dave Filoni's movie. If Rangers of the New Republic is revived, it can give characters like Cobb Vanth, who haven't been seen in years, an opportunity to return.

You can almost guarantee Cobb Vanth will be shown interacting with Din Djarin in an upcoming project if he returns. However, I'm curious to know if Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau have planned anything for Boba Fett and Fennec Shand, as the duo's whereabouts have remained unknown since they were last seen on The Book of Boba Fett.

The Mandalorian is streaming on Disney+.
