Many fans were angered by the fact that none of the main actors from Andor were recognized by the Television Academy for their work when this year's Emmy nomations were released; only Forest Whitaker receive a nomination for the second season.

Whitaker received a nomination for his guest work on the series. Another actor received a nomination a few years back in the same category. As the Emmys are approaching it is important to look back at his work and nomination.

Timothy Olyphant was nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series in 2021 for his season 2 appearance in the Mandalorian. His was nominated for appearing in the episode, the Marshall. It was the second episode of the season.

It was a worthy performance of a nomination. Olyphant brought a lot of humor and high stakes to the role of Cobb Vanth, the Marshall of Mos Espa, who Din Djarin assisted with a little Krayt dragon problem. His performance was reminiscent of Harrison Ford's portrayal of Han Solo in the original and sequel trilogies

Vanth's debut episode also introduced the armor that his character wore. It was the armor of Boba Fett and as he gave it up at the end of episode, gave fans speculation that Boba Fett would return -- as, of course, he did.

Olyphant's prior nomination shows that Star Wars actors have the ability to raise their performances that the Television Academy would recognize. There should be more hope and recognition moving forward as Star Wars will return with various films and Ahsoka Season 2.

Olyphant brought the chops and was rewarded for his work. His character's fate was left with mystery after he was seen at the end of the Book of Boba Fett. The question is, he could he return in several projects on the big screen?

No Star Wars actor outside of Alec Guiness (for Obi-Wan Kenobi in 1977) has received an Oscar nomination. Could Olyphant -- if he appears in either the upcoming the Mandalorian and Grogu movie or another upcomoing film -- receive a nod for Best Supporting Actor?

As Cobb Vanth, Olyphant was undoubtedly in his comfort zone as a cowboy (or Han Solo-esque character) due to his work on the popular western series, Justified. He defintiely knew how to get the best of the writing and the part. Despite only appearing a few times, Vanth has already left an indelible mark on the Star Wars franchise.

It is time that Olyphant be rewarded for the work during awards season.
