Chewbacca Mom Drove James Corden To Work With J.J. Abrams In The Back Seat
By Elaine Tveit
Chewbacca Mom spreads her infectious laugh and love for the talking Chewbacca mask again, this time with James Corden and J.J. Abrams as backup.
Candace, AKA Chewbacca Mom, drove James Corden to work on The Late Late Show last night, and when he started complaining about her fanatacism with the talking Chewbacca mask, The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams popped in to back Candace up. Watch the hilarity below.
It’s impossible to not laugh when Chewbacca Mom starts laughing, and not even a “serious” director like J.J. can hold it in. I love that Candace got the opportunity to meet J.J. as well as James Corden, just for enjoying her talking Chewbacca mask. Geeking out pays off, people, at least when you’re as adorable and crazy as Chewbacca Mom.

In case you’ve been under a rock all weekend, here’s Chewbacca Mom’s story: Candace Payne shared a video she took of herself trying on and playing with a talking Chewbacca mask she bought from Kohl’s. Her pure delight and crazy, infectious laugh made the video go viral, and Candace, now known as Chewbacca Mom, became an overnight sensation. Earlier in the week she received a bunch of free Star Wars merchandise from Kohl’s as a thank-you, and last night she made a cameo appearance on The Late Late Show. Who knows where we’ll see her next, but I’m just happy to see she’s enjoying every minute of her fame.
Here’s Candace’s original video.
