The audio clips from Star Wars: The Force Awakens on 3D Blu-Ray keep coming as director J.J. Abrams discusses Rey and Finn’s first meeting on Jakku…

As part of the marketing push for the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on 3D Blu-Ray, Disney and Lucasfilm have released several audio clips and even a preview of a much-anticipated deleted scene from the film.

Today, thanks to IGN, we have an audio clip of J.J. Abrams discussing that first meeting between Rey and Finn, on Jakku. Check it out:

I find it highly interesting that in the original script for The Force Awakens, Rey and Finn would be much angrier at each other, with Finn immediately revealing that he was a former Stormtrooper for the First Order.

Then there’s the component of Rey originally not knowing who Luke Skywalker was. Abrams was absolutely correct, it wouldn’t have made any sense for Rey not to have heard of Luke Skywalker, yet knowing who Han Solo was, and even growing up on Jakku amongst the wrecked ships of the Rebellion and wearing an X-Wing pilot’s helmet.
