To honor the recently departed Carrie Fisher, The Force Awakens actor Oscar Isaac shared a photo of Fisher on the backlot of Star Wars: Episode VIII.

The Force Awakens actor Oscar Isaac honored the recently departed Carrie Fisher on Facebook today.

Isaac wrote: “She had no patience with pretense or small talk. She saw through things, at a different angle, with the gritty wisdom that comes from the hardest lessons. And, man, did she make me laugh. Will miss you dearly, Carrie.”

Along with his praise of the Star Wars legend, Isaac shared a photo of Fisher and co-star Mark Hamill on the backlot of the Star Wars: Episode VIII set. Check it out below.

The photo shows Fisher and Hamill in what appear to be brand new costumes. Fisher’s dress shows up black or dark blue, and her hair is arranged in a new style. Hamill’s robe might be a set cloak to hide his costume, but it could also be a dark-colored Jedi robe.

A slight possibility exists that this photo is from The Force Awakens backlot. But the dark color of Fisher’s dress and all the extra jewelry she wears add up to a new, never-before-seen outfit.

More important, though, is the glimpse this new photo gives us at Fisher’s personality. That body tilt is classic Carrie quirkiness. Fans need reminders of Fisher’s humor in the wake of her death. After her passing and the subsequent death of her mother, Debbie Reynolds, the world seems like a dark place.

But the General would want us to push on. So we will continue sharing testaments to Fisher’s greatness like Isaac’s. We also can’t wait to see her again as Leia one last time when Episode VIII premieres in theaters next year.
