Funko previews first wave of Star Wars Celebration exclusive POP! figures
By Elaine Tveit
The first wave of Funko’s Star Wars Celebration exclusive POP! figures includes Rey on her speeder, A New Hope-era Han Solo, and holographic Qui-Gon Jinn.
Star Wars Funko POP! collectors, rejoice!
In a press release yesterday, Funko previewed their first wave of exclusive Star Wars Celebration 2017 Pop! figures.
Celebration attendees can collect the exclusive Pop! figures from the Funko booth at the Orange County Convention Center. Collectors who want to be sure and snag the figures while they are in stock can enter a lottery to win a ticket to a scheduled time for visiting the booth. Every day of Celebration, the Funko booth will open up to the public after the ticketed times if there are any exclusives still available.

My favorite figures are the Rey with Speeder and Qui-Gon Jinn (Holographic) Pops. I like that these figures are outside of the box a little bit in terms of creativity. Instead of just a normal Rey in her desert gear, we get Rey on her speeder. Instead of Qui-Gon in his normal physical form, we get him in a hologram design. Rey, Qui-Gon, and the rest of these exclusives will make a collector’s shelf pop (pun totally intended).
Funko will preview the remainder of their Celebration exclusive Pop! figures on Thursday, March 23.
The growing list of exhibitors with booths at Celebration is available at the official Star Wars Celebration website. Exclusive artwork is already available for preorder here. Merchandise from last year’s Celebration in Europe is available at the ReedPOP online store.
