Luke’s time on the Falcon in The Last Jedi
Entertainment Weekly reveals an emotional Mark Hamill within the Millenium Falcon while on the set of The Last Jedi.
After the release of The Force Awakens, anticipation for Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been at a fever pitch for nearly two years now.
Before any filming began for the highly anticipated movie, the characters were on the set with their friends and family, just soaking it all in. Mark Hamill was with his wife and children for the experience, with Entertainment Weekly’s Anthony Breznican giving us the latest scoop.
It was an emotional trip for the veteran Star Wars actor, as he walks within the Millenium Falcon, as Mark Hamill aka Luke Skywalker is having flashback after flashback of time’s past.

I’m telling you, I didn’t expect to have the reaction I had.
From memories of meeting Han Solo on Tatooine, to training with Obi-Wan, and lastly being sucked into the Death Star by that stubborn tractor beam, Hamill couldn’t believe the nostalgic experience.
Yes, he, Luke, was complaining about how it was a big pile of space junk during A New Hope, but, he now deep down misses all of his friends that were apart of the memories created aboard that ship.

After Hamill had boarded with all of his friends and family, he told everyone he had to continue by himself. Yes, Mark Hamill needed just a few moments alone.
"It was sort of like visiting an old house that you lived in when you were a kid… I just welled up with emotion and I said, ‘I need to be by myself.’"
Although Hamill may not be as emotional as Luke will be in The Last Jedi, it is still a sight to see; the raw emotion behind the character Luke Skywalker as he remembers his friends and mentor.
Will Luke Skywalker be able to keep the emotions at bay while upon the Falcon during The Last Jedi? Or will he succumb to the justifiable emotions and breakdown while upon the ship?
