Entertainment Weekly’s Star Wars expert, Anthony Breznican brings us the goods, with these exclusive HD images from Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Like The Last Jedi and other Star Wars films before it, Anthony Breznican brings us the inside scoop with brand-new, HD images from Solo: A Star Wars Story — exclusively from Entertainment Weekly.
If the two teaser-trailer weren’t enough, this images heightened the excitement for the film tenfold. Take a look for yourself at brand new photos from the upcoming Solo film.
Let’s break-down all of these new Solo: A Star Wars Story goodies, shall we? Chewie, we’re home. Off the bat, Han Solo and his partner in crime Chewbacca are back in the cockpit of the Millenium Falcon, with smiles on their faces. We also should be grinning ear to ear, with what appears to be a fun and exhilarating Star Wars film.
Next, Alden Ehrenreich is making the iconic character his own, while at the same time looking much like Harrison Ford. For the film to work for us Star Wars fans, we must believe that Ehrenreich is Han Solo.
Now, that doesn’t mean he has to make his finest Harrison Ford impression or even have the exact tone in his voice, but he must convince us that he’s a dirty scoundrel, showing glimmers of his heart of gold.
The Childish Gambino, Donald Glover, looks as suave and deboner as ever. Our new nickname for the smoothie is the Childish Lambino, with Glover rocking the Lando Calrissian look. We get our first look with Lando as a card player, gambler, a scoundrel. You’d like him.

The moment Star Wars fans have been waiting on for years is going down in Solo. Lando versus Han. Winner takes all, in an extreme Corellian Spike variation of Sabaac. We ultimately know that Han wins, but does he cheat? Or, do his lucky dice give him the luck and edge he needs?
We then see a stunning image of Emilia Clarke, who plays Qi’ra, who is grabbing a drink with Han. It’s unknown whether they are childhood friends, lovers, siblings, or even both — just kidding George Lucas. Though she has no part in his future, Qi’ra is a crucial aspect of his past.
Han Solo and Chewbacca are always getting themselves into trouble, aren’t they? It’s also an excellent tie into The Force Awakens when Chewie gives Han that warm winter jacket. There’s no doubt a bit of history among the two on cold-weather planets.
The Millenium Falcon looks fresh off the assembly line and squeaky clean, where Han and Chewie share a scene with Tobias Beckett — Han’s mentor. The Falcon has always been a hunk of junk, but we see the ship in all of our glory in this film.
This newest Star Wars film will be a wild ride, so make sure you strap yourselves in, folks. These images add to the excitement, melting away our concerns in the process.
