We’re going to take a quick break from your regularly scheduled Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer news, and talk a little bit about the upcoming Star Wars: Last Shot novel by Daniel Jose Older focusing on Han Solo’s mysterious past.
The action in Star Wars: Last Shot centers around a mysterious transmitter created by a criminal mastermind named Fyzen Gor. In the novel, we’ll see both Han Solo and Lando Calrissian’s early attempts to find the transmitter and collect the substantial reward attached to it.
Fast Forward to a post-Rebellion future and Lando shows up on Han’s doorstep because he’s being hunted by Gor’s assassins. The final paragraph of the Amazon book description says the following:

Well, color me intrigued! I am very much looking forward to reading this novel and StarWars.com has graciously gifted us a tiny little slice of this promising Solo and Lando pie.

Let me tell you, friends, this excerpt is filled with all the witty, smirky, swashbuckling one might hope for when running into Han Solo.
In this brief scene we get to witness, Han finds himself in Maz’s castle with his (sort of) wife – it’s complicated…she says she is, he says she isn’t – Sana Starros. At the castle, the run into some bounty hunters who really have it out for Sana and Han.
I won’t spoil too much for you, because you really need to read it (or listen to it yourself). Older has a fantastic way with words and even though the excerpt is short you get drawn right into the action. In those few short paragraphs, I felt my pulse racing along with Sana, Han, and Chewie’s as they try desperately to escape into hyperdrive before being blown to smithereens by Trandoshans or Imperial TIE fighters.
