Star Wars rumors: Another Star Wars animated series in the works?
Another Star Wars animated series drop in the near future, with recent Star Wars rumors buzzing, thanks to a Lucasfilm website post.
May the 4th (be with you) is approaching quickly, which means the arrival of brand-new Star Wars goodies, and the possibility of announcements on future content within a galaxy far, far away — can you announce the Obi-Wan standalone already?
We know from previous announcements that Dave Filoni and the Lucasfilm story group are working on a variety of Star Wars animated stories. But, another could be on-deck very soon.
A recent job opening post on the Lucasfilm website sparked Star Wars rumors that another animated series could be joining alongside with Star Wars: Resistance in the near future.
The job description states:
"Lucasfilm Animation is seeking a Senior Production Accountant to support our animated television productions. This position will report to the Senior Manager – Finance, Lucasfilm Animation.Responsibilities:Partner with Producer and Finance Leadership in managing and analyzing production costs, production overhead and overall budgets for multiple productions with multiple seasons."
I like the sound of this!
When Disney acquired Lucasfilm nearly six years ago, you didn’t think they were going to stay quiet and release minimal material, did you? Some call it watered down, but I say; the more content, the better!

What could this new show be, if these Star Wars rumors are indeed true? Let’s pray to the Maker that it’s a Dave Filoni story featuring Ahsoka and Sabine searching the galaxy for Ezra. I would give my first born child to see 10 seasons of that story arc.
For those who don’t want anyone but Mark Hamill’s portrayal of Luke Skywalker, an animated series featuring his Jedi quests would be the perfect way to keep Hamill himself’s stamp on the iconic character.
For now, we are only speculating, but the possibilities are endless!
Especially with the new Disney streaming service around the corner, we should expect more information on future series to drop quite frequently. What a time to be alive and to be a Star Wars fan!
Who would have thought that we would ever get two Star Wars films in one year or multiple television series? I’m not a complainer, though!
