EA Play announces that a new video game Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order will drop in late 2019, featuring the great Jedi Purge.

Have you always wanted to see more of the Jedi purge in the Star Wars galaxy? Did Revenge of the Sith only give you a just a small taste?

Well, your appetite will finally be fed in December of 2019, with a new EA Star Wars video game titled Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order — featuring the great Jedi Purge.

According to IGN.com, Respawn CEO Vince Zampella teased the brand new addition to the Star Wars gaming collection. Our friend Alex from Star Wars Explained was there and seems to be having the time of his life in Los Angeles!

For those of you unfamiliar with Respawn, the rights were acquired by EA for a cool $465 last year. IGN does a fantastic recap of what Respawn is, an article I recommend you check out after you’re done here.

Not much is known about the game except the Jedi Purge aspect, but isn’t that all we need? It also brings up the possibility of an actual Star Wars canon story to go along with it — oh what fun!

Plus, we know from the Darth Vader (2017) comic that Quinlan Vos is indeed alive, so how amazing would it be to play him in the Star Wars storyline, if they do in fact include it within the game’s contents?

EA could even have an alternate storyline, showing (former) Jedi Padawan Ahsoka and Maul (formerly Darth) surviving — which we get a taste of in the canon Ahsoka novel. The possibilities are endless for what could be in store for us when the Star Wars game arrives.
