Star Wars hate-group takes credit for bullying Kelly Marie Tran
A Star Wars hate-group takes credit for Kelly Marie Tran’s Instagram departure and is proud of doing so — their next target; Katleen Kennedy.
Certain sects of the Star Wars fandom are journeying down the path of the Dark Side, embracing deplorable acts of hatred and harassment — can we honestly call these people Star Wars fans at this point?
The line between disliking a movie and displaying acts of hatred, specifically for the film Star Wars: The Last Jedi, has been crossed — and then some.
According to the NewYorkDailyNews.com and Screenrant, a Facebook hate group named “Down With Disney’s Treatment of Franchises and its Fanboys,” taking credit for harassing and bullying Kelly Marie Tran, leading her into exile from Instagram.

Thankfully, Facebook has taken action, and this group’s Facebook page is currently under investigation. A now-deleted post from their site read:
"“I along with many others (some of whom I inspired) helped force Kelly Marie Tran from Instagram. And it was bloody glorious!”"
Kelly Marie Tran is just a casualty of “war,” with Katleen Kennedy the real target.
"“In the 6 months since ‘The Last Jedi,’ hell even the last 4-6 years of this perversion of a canon, it warmed my heart to see the true fans rise up against Kathleen Kennedy and her feminazi agenda.”"
The very group also was previously banned for creating an event titled, “Give Black Panther a Rotten Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes.” Classy. Really classy.
In 2016, Daisy Ridley also departed from social media, after receiving similar treatment. Guess who was responsible for her. Yep, these same jerks.
We’ve already expressed how upset we are over this hateful act, and there’s not much else to say on the matter. My heart hurts not only for Kelly Marie Tran, but others who have received such harassment.
I am at a loss for words of how mean and evil people really can be. So, where do we go from here? How can the Star Wars fandom recover from such a devastating blow?
For starters, we can embrace what we love and stand up for those like Kelly Marie Tran, Daisy Ridley, and countless other victims — where love and unity will cast out hatred.
