Disney is close to casting its lead in The Mandalorian with Game of Thrones’ Pedro Pascal set to star in the upcoming Star Wars series.
It looks as though Pedro Pascal will indeed be the lead in The Mandalorian, according to reports.
Variety is stating Pascal has been offered the role and negotiations are underway. We were excited when the rumors swirled from Making Star Wars of his potential casting, and even happier now that it’s one step closer.
Pascal is best known for his role as Oberyn Martell on Game of Thrones. He also appeared in Narcos, Graceland and will be in the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984.

Pascal has really made a name for himself, joining big series and franchises. But nothing may prepare him for just how crazy life can get as part of the Star Wars universe.
There are little details on The Mandalorian outside of a synopsis outside of what Jon Favreau released on his Instagram a short while ago. The series, which will be on Disney+, will follow “a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy” before the First Order came to power.
There are a lot of stories to be told in the Outer Rim away from the eyes of the New Republic. This is a small sample of what we’re getting and what Disney has in store for Star Wars fans.
Getting the lead on board is just the start. Hopefully, we will get more news soon about who else will be in the series. In the meantime, we’ll take more rumors and come up with theories like this one why Stormtroopers were recently spotted on the set.
The Mandalorian is expected to premiere in 2019 on Disney+.
