Outside of the arrival of Melshi and going into the series knowing characters like Mon Mothma and Saw Gerrera were in the cast, Andor avoided any major cameos, and the series focuses mostly on brand-new characters. The show is about Cassian Andor, a main character in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, a film featuring characters like Darth Vader and Leia Oragana.

Showrunner Tony Gilroy has stated that cameos are inevitable for Season 2. It’s time to speculate what Season 2 of the critically acclaimed Star Wars series holds for fans. As the narrative gets closer to the events of Rogue One, it’s not unreasonable to hope that characters who play essential roles in the movie might show up.

Here are 5 cameos we hope to appear in Andor Season 2.

Orson Krennec

As Director of Advance Weapons Research for the Empire, Orson Krennec (Ben Mendelsohn) is obsessed with completing the Death Star. As Andor ended with a very ominous shot of the superweapon’s construction, it will probably feature heavily as a plot point in Season 2. He also happens to have an important connection to Galen Erso, the scientist behind the construction of the Death Star. Mendelsohn deserves to reprise his role as Krennec in Andor, especially since he didn’t do too much in The Bad Batch.

Bail Organa

Senator Bail Organa (Jimmy Smits) of Alderaan is a fan favorite who secretly worked for the rebel cause during and after the fall of the Republic.  His resistance movement helped recruit new people to the Rebellion, and he worked alongside secret agents known as “Fulcrums” throughout the Rebellion. Senator Organa plays a vital role in Rogue One, so it makes sense to bring him back for Andor Season 2. The show could explore how Mon Mothma’s network of rebels and Senator Organa’s Resistance movement eventually merge into an alliance. Plus, after his return in Obi-Wan Kenobi, it’ll be a joy to see Jimmy Smits again.

Galen Erso

As the scientist behind the design of the Death Star, Galen Erso (Mads Mikkelsen) plays an essential role in Rogue One. He’s also the man who reveals the flaw in its design that leads to its eventual destruction. Erso also happens to be Jyn Erso’s father, and even if she doesn’t show up, perhaps Tony Gilroy can find a way to have him and Cassian run into each other at some point.

Jyn Erso

Despite Felicity Jones saying she won’t return for Season 2, maybe Tony Gilroy will surprise us. Andor is full of parallels between Cassian Andor’s and Jyn Erso‘s journeys. Although the two of them didn’t meet until Rogue One, they’re living pretty much the same life. They’re destined to meet eventually. If the canon is bent ever so slightly to include a brief appearance by Jyn Erso in Andor, it will bring their stories together even better. Moreover, the writers of Andor seem perfectly capable of incorporating a character like Jyn in the most poignant way possible, so why not bring her back, even if it’s just for one cameo?

Darth Vader

Some might call this blatant fan service, but plenty of Hayden Christensen’s fans would approve of Darth Vader‘s return. It makes sense to bring either Palpatine or Vader into Andor Season 2 since they’re calling the shots in the Empire. Andor has explored every level of power under Imperial rule, so why skip those at the very top of the hierarchy?  Vader plays a crucial role in Rogue One and has a number of iconic scenes. His tussle with Orson Krennec can play a role in Andor Season 2. Besides, even if Vader shows up for a minute, the buzz it would generate would be well worth the outcry over “fan service.”
