The last big thing at Star Wars Celebration Day 3 was the Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 panel, and it did not disappoint this die-hard fan. We already knew the show was coming back to Japan for its third outing and had speculated on its release date. Now, we have a ton more information, as well as a massive surprise announcement.
Here are 5 things we learned in the Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 panel at Celebration 2025
1. Three Season 1 shorts are returning
One of the biggest questions fans had after the first outing was if some of the Season 1 shorts would get sequels. While we've gotten some adaptations and several books and comics, we got a confirmation that "The Duel," "The Village Bride," and "The Ninth Jedi" are all back for another outing.
Via The Hollywood Reporter, the first is "The Duel: Payback" from studio Kamikaze Douga will see the return of Ronin. Emmy contender "The Village Bride" will follow up with "The Lost Ones" as the Jedi F is on a new mission. Finally, Production IG's "The Ninth Jedi" is back with "Child of Hope," which is both a sequel and a setup for something very exciting I'll discuss in a moment.

2. The release date
We had speculated that Volume 3 would be out in the fall, with Tales of the Underworld bumping the show out of its timeslot. And we were right on the money.
Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 arrives on Disney+ on October 29.
3. We know the names of new shorts
The new shorts were also revealed. First is "Yuko's Treasure" from Kinema Citrus, which had a bear droid that captured the internet's hearts. Wit Studio is bringing us "The Bounty Hunters." Trigger might not be doing a Season 1 sequel to its two shorts, but instead bringing a new entry with "The Smuggler." Project Studio Q comes in with "The Song of Four Wings," and Polygon Pictures arrives with "The Bird of Paradise."
Finally, "Black" we knew was coming from Studio Ghibli and One Piece legend Shinya Ohira directing. The experimental short following the life of a stormtrooper was teased a few weeks ago.

4. "The Ninth Jedi" is getting its own anime limited series
The big reveal from the panel is Visions is just getting started. Coming in 2026, "The Ninth Jedi" will be a limited anime series. Star Wars: Visions Presents The Ninth Jedi will continue the adventure of Kara while she searches for her father who was taken in Season 1.

StarWars.com shared from director and writer Kenji Kamiyama, "I made a short story called 'The Ninth Jedi' during Volume 1. Director Shiotani is making one more film this time 'Child of Hope,' and it ends with Kara’s departure to look for her father in the first short film."
If this is where Volume 3 ends, then let the speculation begin where the limited series picks up.
5. The sizzle reel was amazing
