Last week, Young Jedi Adventures received four The Children's & Family Emmy Awards nominations. It joins a respectful list of Star Wars animation that has received both nominations and awards from the Emmys. What other TV series have been honored by the Academy?

Here is every Star Wars Emmy Award win or nomination

As early 2013, Star Wars: The Clone Wars received several nominations and awards for both animation and children's programming for the Daytime Emmys. It was nominated 15 times during its run and won five times during that span. The wins included winning Outstanding Special Class Animated Program twice.

David Tennant, who has voiced the droid Huyang on The Clone Wars, Ahsoka, and Young Jedi Adventures, won Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program in 2013 for voicing the character during the series's fifth season. Tennant was not the only actor to be honored by the Emmys. Jim Cummings, Mark Hamill, and Sam Witwer were all nominated for Daytime Emmys for their voice work on The Clone Wars. Although Hamill is known for portraying Luke Skywalker, he voiced the character of Darth Bane during the sixth season of the series.

At the time of writing, Tennant is the only actor to win an acting Emmy in the Star Wars franchise.

Star Wars Rebels continued the legacy, being nominated for four Primetime Emmys twice for Outstanding Children's Program. Star Wars Resistance was also nominated in the same category for both seasons it was on the air in 2019 and 2020. Star Wars: Visions became the fourth show to receive the honor, winning one Emmy for "Screecher's Reach" for Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Win for Production Design and being nominated for another in 2023.

Young Jedi Adventures is only in its second season but has already been nominated for 10 Children's and Family Awards. It is an outstanding achievement for the show, considering the Children's and Family Emmys are only in their third year.

Young Jedi Adventures won two Children and Family Emmy Awards last season for Oustanding Editing and Sound Mixing. In addition, composer Matthew Margeson received a nomination for his musical score for the series.

Margeson joins a long list of composers honored for the music in the franchise. John Williams won an Oscar for his score on A New Hope and was nominated for five of his scores for the Skywalker Saga. Ludwig Göransson won back-to-back Primetime Emmy Awards for his music on The Mandalorian. Nicholas Britell was nominated twice for Primetime Emmy Awards for his work on Andor, and Kevin Kiner received four nominations for his work on both The Clone Wars and Rebels.

This list doesn't even include the long list of Creative Arts Emmy Awards, where Star Wars has also been honored many times, most recently with the late Shawna Trpcic posthumously winning for Ahsoka's costume design.

As Star Wars continues to have new and exciting programming, the awards should keep on coming. The quality of Lucasfilm's work has not gone unnoticed by the Emmy Awards each and every year.
