Avast, ye maties! It's time for some space pirates!

Entertainment Weekly has revealed exclusive new photos for the upcoming series, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, including a first look at Jaleel White's character.

In the photo, White looks to be playing a cyborg named Gunter with mechanical parts that are not so different from Lobot in the original trilogy. To the left, it's a familiar face with the pirate Vane, played by Marti Matulis. First seen in Season 3 of The Mandalorian, it's been confirmed for some time that Vane would be in Skeleton Crew as an antagonist. Going left to right, the Shistavanen, AKA Wolf Man of the group, is named Brutus, played by Stephan Oyoung, and voiced by longtime Lucasfilm voice actor Frank Tatasciore. The last two members are Pax and Chaelt, played by Mike Estes and Dale Soules, respectively.

Show creators Jon Watts and Christopher Ford confirm that the pirates are a big part of the series, thriving during the era of the New Republic. Ford said, "With the era we're in, we're kind of getting to play with that lawless thing. The Empire is gone, and so we're playing with a part of the galaxy that has a resurgence of piracy.”

They also confirmed that a big inspiration for the series was the LucasArts video game Monkey Island, with Watts stating, "I'm also a big fan of Monkey Island. That's also classic Lucas. So somewhere between Star Wars pirates and Monkey Island pirates. I think we found our sweet spot.”

Entertainment Weekly also released a new photo of Jude Law's character, Jod Na Nawood. He, too, has pirate vibes, with an old-looking blaster on his belt that evokes the feeling of old pirate pistols and a swashbuckling-like coat.

Skeleton Crew follows the journey of four kids who accidentally get lost in the galaxy when they stumble across an old ship. On the journey, they meet a possible Jedi named Jod and the ship's cranky old droid, SM-33, voiced by Nick Frost. Set in the same time period as The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahskoa, it's unknown at this time how Skeleton Crew will fit in with the other Mandoverse series.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew debuts on Disney+ on December 3.
