Until now, Skeleton Crew's Jod Na Nawood tried to make it seem like he was working for his young companions, although several people who knew Jod warned Wim, Fern, KB, and Neel that he shouldn't be trusted. Now that the truth is out, next week's episode promises to unravel even more intriguing mysteries.

Here are 5 burning questions we have after Star Wars: Skeleton Crew episode 5, "You Have A Lot To Learn About Pirates."

1. Why does Jod tell Wim to forget about his attachments?

While this may feel like the typical Jedi advice, it still sounds odd coming from Jod. For a man who has lived life the way he wants (or so it appears), it's strange to hear him give the advice a typical disciplined Force wielder raised at the Jedi Temple would. This, plus Jod's familiar advice, "Your focus determines your reality," makes us wonder about Jod's past. I hope he's not your typical Order 66 survivor because we have way too many of them.

2. What is the fate of At Attin?

What will become of the kids' home planet now that its coordinates are, more or less, out in the open? What role will At Attin's history as a mint for the Old Republic play in the rest of the story? Skeleton Crew takes place in the New Republic era, sharing a timeline with Ahsoka and The Mandalorian. Will the planet's discovery and history play an important role in this era, and does Grand Admiral Thrawn, who should be back at this point in the timeline, have anything to do with the destruction of Jewels of the Old Republic?

3. Why hasn't anyone on At Attin questioned the children's disappearance?

Why haven't the other kids and parents on At Attin noticed four missing kids, and what are their feelings on someone crossing the barrier to leave At Attin? News of this kind should travel quickly, especially since there are four missing kids instead of one, and their worried parental figures are likely friends with other parents in the neighborhood. This should've sent alarm bells throughout the entire community. However, no one seems to be questioning these strange events. This is certainly questionable writing unless it's intentional.

4. Is Jod connected to Tak Rennod?

Tak Rennod is the legendary pirate of the Star Wars galaxy, and we saw Jod geek out over the discovery that the Onyx Cinder is Rennod's ship. While not much of Rennod's background has been revealed yet, we know he played a significant role in the Star Wars galaxy. His pirate exploits are famous in the scoundrel circles. With pirates being a thing in The Mandalorian and now Skeleton Crew's deeper dive into their world, this storyline is shaping up to be exciting. However, we wonder if Jod has more of a connection to Tak Rennod than he's admitting to.

5. Where is the New Republic and when will they get involved?

With pirates on the loose, four kids in danger, and talks of a planet that produces Old Republic credits, we wonder when the New Republic will get involved in the story. Jod is in control of the Onyx Cinder, so the kids are now his prisoners and in urgent need of being rescued. I don't see anyone getting these kids to safety unless the New Republic gets involved, which should hopefully be soon, as only three episodes remain.
