Skeleton Crew: 7 burning questions we have after episode 3
With its captivating storyline and characters, Skeleton Crew has given viewers plenty of reasons to tune in each week, and the latest episode is no exception. The plethora of unanswered questions will keep the audience on the edge of their seats.
Here are 7 burning questions we have after Skeleton Crew episode 3, "Very Interesting, As An Astrogration Problem."
1. Is Jod Na Nawood actually force-sensitive?
Does Jod have the Force, or are his apparent Force tricks a deception? The kids have their doubts, and the audience is left to decide for themselves. The upcoming episodes will reveal what's up with Jod, and although it might seem like a letdown if it's proven that he faked having Force abilities, the possibility is still there.
2. Where is Jod from?
Jod's origins are being kept a mystery like everything else about him. Where was he born and raised, and how did he end up with multiple identities? For now, his story doesn't seem like that of a typical Order 66 survivor, and it seems doubtful that he was raised at the Jedi Temple. Is he also from At Attain, or is his home planet a place we're all familiar with?
3. Does Wendle know something?
Wendle has every reason to seem stressed, as his only son is lost in the galaxy somewhere he can't reach. However, episode 3 shows Wendle quietly rubbing his forehead, lost in his thoughts, as the other kids' parents openly panic. There's something behind Wendle's silence, and we wonder if it's knowledge of reality outside At Attin, which the other parents don't know about. If he knows something, there better be a good explanation for why he hasn't revealed it yet.
4. Who is the Supervisor?
The Supervisor has a lot of authority, as seen in episode 3, but their identity is a secret. Is this a person or a droid, and is it someone we might know? The Supervisor has to be given some credit for protecting the planet from being found and its resources being depleted. "Very Interesting, As An Astrogration Problem" revealed that At Attin is one of the jewels of the galaxy, and the others have all been destroyed. Depending on the Supervisor's age, it's possible they lived through multiple Galactic conflicts and kept At Attin out of them.
5. How many years has At Attin remained anonymous?
What was the last time the galaxy knew At Attin's exact location? When was its location last known? Episode 3 reveals the kids have no idea about the events of the prequel trilogy, the original trilogy, and the Rebellion. How many generations have lived and died without knowing what lies beyond the barrier?
6. Will the kids get split up because of a disagreement?
Fern, KB, Neel, and Wim all have different personalities, and they've already clashed on occasions. I can see friendships being tested and tensions rising in the coming weeks as the kids must decide whether to stick with Jod or find their way back home. My bet is on the group splitting up due to differences in opinion. It's possible that half of them might make it back home to At Attin, and the other half may remain lost until Season 2.
7. Who will tell the kids the truth about the galaxy?
Our four young adventurers are lost in a galaxy they know nothing about. If you thought Din Djarin was bad at Star Wars, you have no idea how unfit these four kids are for the galaxy. They have no clue what's gone down in their and their parents' lifetimes. Whoever reveals the truth about the fall of the Republic, the Jedi purge, the reign of the Empire, and the Rebellion will have to deal with their unpredictable reactions. My money is on Jod being the guy who spills the beans.
