Place your bets! Who will survive the Andor finale?

Let's speculate on who lives, who dies, who tells a Star Wars story.

The final week of Andor is here, and I'm not ready for the show to end. I'm also not emotionally prepared to see which of my favorites don't make it to the final credits. Unless they're in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, there is a target on their back. Which means it's time to speculate wildly!

Let's predict who will live and die in the Andor finale.

Bix Caleen

Up until episode 9, "Welcome to the Rebellion," I thought for sure Bix Caleen had the biggest target on her back thanks to the doomed romance narrative. However, with her leaving Cassian on Yavin IV, I think that action saved her life. Out of everyone on this list, I think she's the most likely to survive thanks to her choice to walk away.

Verdict: High chance to survive.

Wilmon Paak

ANDOR SEASON 2

Wilmon Paak has been fascinating this season as he keeps squeaking by death. He survived Saw Gerrera's Partisans and, while wounded, got out of the Ghorman Massacre. After Bix left, Wilmon is the last standing member of the Ferrix crew other than Cassian. I think that plays slightly into his favor, representing the next generation that carries on. Still, no one is safe, and Wilmon's luck might run out this week.

Verdict: Lower chance of dying.

Luthen Rael and Dedra Meero

ANDOR SEASON 2

I'm putting Luthen Rael and Dedra Meero together for one main reason: I think one is going to take out the other. If Syril Karn and Cassian spent two seasons revolving around each other, Dedra's hunt for the elusive "Axis" still needs an ending. She had a major loss on Ferrix, and the fallout of Ghorman and losing Syril could push Dedra into some extremes. Luthen's sway has also slowly crumbled over the course of the season. Cassian, Bix, Vel Sartha, Cinta Kaz, and Mon Mothma have all pushed back on him, disagreeing with his methods or leaving his network. The man with the secrets is poised to fall.

However, one possible angle with Dedra's downfall is Director Krennic. Prior to Season 2, Ben Mendelsohn teased in an interview that Dedra and Krennic would clash, but we haven't really seen that yet in the first three weeks of the show. Maybe we get a scene where he throws her under the bus to protect his Death Star plans? Maybe Mendelsohn tossed out a red herring to make people write articles about it (I say to myself, who wrote that above article). We'll have to see.

Verdict: Luthen and Dedra - High chances of dying, especially if one takes the others out.

Kleya Marki

There are two scenes in the official trailer of Kleya Marki that are of note to me. The first, she's upset, panicking, and saying that the Empire is building a weapon. Later in the same trailer, she's crying with a white light behind her. As it still hasn't happened yet, I believe Luthen will give up his life so Kleya can get out with this information for the Rebellion. I've theorized since Season 1 that Kleya is actually the real Axis with Luthen poised to be the fall guy in the worst-case scenario. Let's see if I'm right or not this week.

Verdict: Has a higher chance of living.

Vel Sartha

Probably my hottest take of the season is that Vel should have died instead of Cinta, but that's another article for another time. What we have now is Vel, post-losing Cinta, working on Yavin IV, and she's just kind of there. While I don't think (and hope) that these creators will kill off the other gay representation in this show, no one is safe. Maybe in a wave of grief or anger, Vel goes out in a blaze of glory to join her love in the Force.

Verdict: Lower chance of dying.

Lonni Jung

I think there are two scenarios for everyone's favorite undercover ISB agent: He's already dead, or we will never find out his fate in the show.

Because of the structure of the second season, it's only natural that there will be dangling story threads. Not every character will have their story wrapped up, and I believe Lonni Jung will fall into this. In "Welcome to the Rebellion," it was his planted undercover agent in Bail Organa's team that messed up in capturing Mon Mothma. I could see that being what imprisons or even gets him executed. But truthfully, I don't think we're going to find out Lonni's fate anytime soon until some book or comic reveals it down the line.

Verdict: Insert the shrug emoji here, because I don't know.

Erskin Semaj

I wasn't originally going to put Erskin Semaj on this list until I realized his current latest canon appearance is the Star Wars Rebels Season 4 episode, "Crawler Commandeers." That episode takes place before Rogue One in the timeline, putting Semaj in play for the possibly will die category. That said, I don't think he will. He goes where Mon Mothma goes, and we know that Mon survives past Rogue One as the only Andor main character to make it out of the film. Still, there's always a chance Erskin bites the blaster bolt in the finale.

Verdict: High chance of living.
