Ashley Eckstein steals the show at San Diego Comic-Con
Ashley Eckstein puts on quite the show for fans at SDCC, reveals more on Ahsoka’s fate…
Without the presence of the Last Jedi or Han Solo at the 2017 SDCC, Star Wars still found a way to make a big splash this past weekend. Even with the announcement of new novels, visual guides, action figures, and much more, someone else from that galaxy far, far away was able to create the most buzz this weekend.
Ashley Eckstein (voice actress for Ahsoka Tano, Her Universe) literally stole the show, with a glamorous fan-centered fashion show put on at the main stage at SDCC.
As always, Eckstein promoted and recognized those who are often overlooked. She also left us breathless, donning a glamorous Cinderella style gown of her own.
"My gown is inspired by the transformation scene from Cinderella. When she transforms from her rags to her ball-gown, and the stars that swirl around her, we took the stars, turned it into a pattern, and turned it into a dress."
If you missed any of the fashion show, the Her Universe Tumblr account documented the event. Always thinking of the fans, Eckstein also provided a signing of some cool Funko Ahsoka bobbleheads.
During my venture to Star Wars Celebration earlier this year in Orlando, I had a chance to encounter that kindness for myself. After the Ahsoka lives day celebration, Eckstein was mobbed by fans who wanted just a second with her.
I eventually found my way towards her, but she was about to leave to attend her next panel. She made eye contact with me and told me to grab a quick selfie with her. What a class act!
I could say that this was the highlight of my time at Celebration, and that is saying a lot since I met Hayden Christensen, Freddie Prinze Jr., and Sarah Michelle Gellar. Not to mention attending a panel featuring both Pablo Hidalgo and Dave Filoni.

Eckstein also caught up with SYFY Wire, bringing with her a little news on Ahsoka Tano’s fate:
"Now I do know what’s next for Ahsoka because for so long I didn’t know. I could honestly say I don’t know. We will see Ahsoka again in Rebels. Can’t say any more than that, whether she’s alive or dead. But we will see her again and there’s a lot more stories to tell."
Ashley, you had me at Rebels. This makes me even more stoked for the final season of Rebels than I already was. Can we get those stories ASAP, Lucasfilm?
After the event, Eckstein then took to social media to thank her fans for all of their support.
