What new Star Wars live-action TV show is coming our way?

With the recent announcement of a Star Wars TV show, what in the Force could it be about? Who’s directing and writing it?

It has been a huge 24 hours for Star Wars fans. We have now been told that we are getting an all-new trilogy directed and written by Rian Johnson. It’s been a busy time for our friends at StarWars.com, that’s for sure.

Not to be outdone, we are also receiving a live action TV show that will be on Disney’s streaming service. Now, this begs the question though that what timeline will this show follow?

So, here are the top 3 timelines we want to see from Disney in the Star Wars TV show.

1. The Old Republic. The only evidence we have of this is, well just speculation and educated Tweets. I hope Disney and Lucasfilm plan on dabbling in that timeline, with so many epic stories to tell. It would be great considering we barely have anything that’s canon from that time.

Darth Malgus and Revan would be the best place to start, ending that era with Bane’s rule of two and his death at the hands of Darth Zannah. Man, I’m losing my mind in excitement just thinking about it.

2. Further in the future. We could get a show that has the offspring of Luke and Leia running across the galaxy protecting or terrorizing citizens of various planets.

A whole new Jedi Order could’ve risen from the ashes of Luke’s tragedy, which has become even better than what Luke had envisioned.

We could have Rey leading the new Jedi, while Kylo Ren has kickstarted the Sith Order, finishing what his grandfather started.

For that to happen, that means that Kylo Ren kills Snoke in The Last Jedi or Episode IX. Now that would be amazing.

3. A whole new story. There are still areas of space in the universe that haven’t traversed yet. There are planets out there that don’t even know the Jedi or Sith exist.

We could just have a new story that doesn’t involve anything from the previous movies. The possibilities are endless with the charted, yet unexplored Unknown Regions.

Maybe we will see the Vong? Don’t forget about Wild Space, which is mostly unexplored, with who in the Maker knows what is lying in waiting.
