Much like the early reveal for The Phantom Menace (Qui-Gon’s Noble End), we receive the same tragic news for Kanan Jarrus, Jedi Knight, via an early reveal from the official soundtrack for Rebels. What a beautiful musical score to say goodbye to one of the most intriguing Jedi in Star Wars history. Dave Filoni and the Lucasfilm story group will no doubt send him off in epic fashion on screen, as well.
The other two tracks are shrouded in mystery, which leaves more questions than answers. But once again, the composer for Rebels delivers with an emotional musical tone. It’s not much of a surprise that Kanan will meet the Maker soon, but seeing this confirmation brings feelings of grief.
Remembering the wise words of Yoda will help us get through this hardship:
"Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not."
