At the conclusion of the Star Wars Rebels series finale, we may have met one, or more, of the students of Luke Skywalker.
The Star Wars Rebels series finale hit all of the right notes, leaving us with more questions than answers. Ezra Bridger may or may not be alive, after sending he, Thrawn, and his fleet into the Unknown Regions.
Fast forward to after the events of Return of the Jedi; we are graced with the presence of Ahsoka Tano — who begins her journey with Sabine to find the lost (in space), Ezra Bridger.
Another moment which catches us off guard is when it’ revealed that Kanan and Hera have a kid. Yep! Apparently, the Jedi Knight kept his legacy going, with a part of him living on through he and Hera’s child — Jacen Syndulla. Hmm. Interesting name…
With the show concluding open-ended after the events of the Original trilogy, leaving us with a vast amount of possibilities. It’s entirely plausible that we may have several candidates for some Jedi learners of the legendary Luke Skywalker.

Jason Syndulla (Dume) is expectedly strong with the Force and with Hera’s connection to Han Solo, Leia, and the rebellion, would no doubt seek out Luke Skywalker once his academy’s finally established. What better way to let the legacy of her lover, Kanan, live on but through her son and the new Jedi Order.
Also, with Ahsoka Tano still alive, it leaves the option for her to help Luke establish the Jedi order — assisting in discovering the many mysteries of the Force. She might have even trained Luke during that one year gap in between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
And, if Ahsoka and Sabine indeed track down Ezra Bridger, that gives us another Jedi for Luke to train. With this possibility of hope, it also allows for a Dark shadow to loom over our heroes and their legacy.
It also means that Kylo Ren may be responsible for the death and destruction of not only Luke’s Jedi Order but of these very students. Will Kylo Ren finish what Darth Vader started and finally kill Ahsoka Tano?
The possibilities are endless!
