Why Star Wars Celebration 2019 heading to Chicago is a great thing
It’s official. Star Wars Celebration 2019 is heading to Chicago in April 2019. Thanks to StarWars.com, we have you covered with all of the details!
Rumors of a return to Anaheim for Star Wars Celebration 2019 ended up being a bogus claim, with Lucasfilm via StarWars.com revealing the correct location for 2019. Don your Air Jordan’s, your Michael Jordan jerseys, and get ready to chow down on some deep dish pizza, with Star Wars Celebration 2019 heading to Chicago at the McCormick Place
According to their press release, the all-important (golden) tickets go on sale at noon on June 5th, 2018 (CST). The event itself will run five days, April 11-15 of 2019. Like times past, tickets will vary depending on how many credits you want to fork out with single-day, multi-day, and the Canto Bight/high-roller VIP passes.
Once again, Lucasfilm will be in cahoots with ReedPop, and hopefully, they’ve worked all of the kinks they experienced in Orlando, especially day one — which I know from personal experience.

Chicago is a prime location, and that’s not only because the headquarters for FanSided (who powers us) is located in that very city. It’s a central location, somewhere new, and I’ve heard amazing things about the venue.
I say, bring it on!
Being a St. Louis Cardinals fan, I’ve always avoided Chicago like the black plague, but sacrifices must be made. All joking aside, I’ve always wanted to go to the Windy Cindy and maybe my beloved Cards will play in Wrigley during the same time frame. A classic win-win (win)!
