Harrison Ford gives his opinion of Solo: A Star Wars Story
Given that he is the original nerf herder, the approval of Harrison Ford in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars film is significant, and it has finally been given…
After Carrie Fisher’s passing, there are three individuals left connected to the Original Trilogies (the only Star War films that all fans can unanimously agree upon the merit of) that symbolizes the essence of Star Wars in the eyes of fan: George Lucas, Mark Hamill, and Harrison Ford.
Now, all three of those legends have expressed their approval of the new film. Given that the film focuses on Han Solo, Harrison Ford’s endorsement of the film is perhaps the most important to fans.
According to Ron Howard in an interview with Variety:
"“I had never heard Harrison effusive about anything, and he was raving about it. He said, ‘Alden nailed it. He made it his own.’”"

The two actors got the opportunity to meet as Harrison Ford surprised Alden Ehrenreich during an interview with Entertainment Tonight and it was just awesome!
It was really cool to see how much reverence Ehrenreich has for Ford and to see Ford embrace Ehrenreich (both figuratively and literally) in his new role!
Well, I for one, am so excited to see Alden Ehrenreich in the role of Han Solo. Everything I’ve heard about the film makes me super optimistic! If you’re curious who you might see in the upcoming film, here is the cast list:
- Alden Ehrenreich taking the reins from Harrison Ford as Han Solo
- Donald Glover as the smooth operator in Landon Calrissian
- Woody Harrelson as Hans mentor Tobias Beckett
- Emilia Clark, Queen of the Dragons in Game of Thrones, as Qi’Ra
- Paul Bettany as Dryden Vos
- Thandie Newton (Westworld) as Val
- Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Amazon’s Fleabag) as L3-37
- Joonas Suotamo as the Mighty Chewbacca
- Ian Kenny of Game of Thrones fame, in an unnamed role
