Poe Dameron series finale highlights Star Wars comics release
New Star Wars comics are out this week, including the series finale for Poe Dameron. While we’re sad it’s ending, we’re excited to see how it finishes.
It’s a pretty busy week for Star Wars comics fans. There are three new titles hitting shelves this week with Doctor Aphra, Poe Dameron and Star Wars Adventures.
But the big news is that Poe Dameron #31 is the series finale. We’re a bit sad to see this one end because it featured a bunch of great nuggets and filled in some blanks when it came to the new movies.
Here’s a look at the new Star Wars comics coming this week, September 26, 2018.

Doctor Aphra is still trying to find her way off the prison planet as – naturally – things have not gone well for her. It looks like she is even in a bigger jam as Part V of Catastrophe Con comes out this week. As always, Doctor Aphra finds herself in trouble, but won’t leave empty handed.
Here is the synopsis from Marvel Comics:
"OUT OF THE FRYING PAN, INTO THE HEAT-DEATH OF A PLANET-KILLING METEOR STRIKE!Swindling, backstabbing and even occasionally feeling bad about it, all of DOCTOR APHRA’s attempts to escape her prison-world have failed.But…wait – here comes an Imperial shuttle. This is the last issue of the Poe Dameron series. The last issue featured Black Squadron in a world of trouble with one of the members being killed during their mission in trying to bring allies to the Resistance.
Poe Dameron has been a good series offering a look at what has happened away from the screen during the new trilogy, including seeing Leia’s grief over Solo’s death.

"In this final chapter of the POE DAMERON series, we see what may be BLACK SQUADRON’S last mission, as they desperately attempt to find allies for GENERAL LEIA ORGANA’S decimated RESISTANCE.It’s been one heck of a ride, but all stories must come to an end."

IDW’s Star Wars Adventures catches up with Chewbacca and Han Solo with this issue with a story entitled “Chewie’s Day Off.” Each issue features a new adventure from any of the Star Wars
characters.
There’s also an extra story, “Flight of the Falcon, Part 1: Spy Games.”
