"Into the Breach" might be the most stressful episode of The Bad Batch's third season so far. That last three minutes were intense, and my heart rate hasn't come down yet. This episode set up the final two episodes of the series with its A and B plots. Let's explain everything you might have missed in "Into the Breach."

Omega makes an escape plan

Omega has been a star in the last few episodes, showcasing everything she has learned from her brothers, Phee, and even Cid (more on that here!). This trend continues this week as she steps up to lead the Force-sensitive kids on Tantiss. She begins to befriend them while asking questions about their location. Gathering information about the guards, when the droids come in to take the kids' blood samples, when the scientists are watching them, etc. There is only one missing piece from her plan, which is where Emerie comes in.

I will say that the next part is unclear as to whether or not Emerie Karr is actively helping Omega. Regardless, Emerie comes to take her little sister's blood sample. While Emerie looks away, Omega sneaks a tool off Emerie's tray, hiding it in her sleeve until Emerie leaves.

Afterward, Dr. Scalder from earlier seasons returns and questions Emerie about letting Omega be around the other kids. Emerie dismisses Scalder, but the latter is suspicious.

Later, Omega takes the tool into her room. The walls have panels that open into an elevator-like shaft where their blood samples are taken. She pries off the panel to check it out. However, Scalder notes her absence and heads down to the Vault to look for Omega. Just in the knick of time, Omega fixes everything into place as Scalder arrives.

Omega now has a plan on how to get out of Mount Tantiss, giving the Force-sensitive kids hope.

The Batch and Rampart head for Tantiss

Oh boy, the Batch are in for a ride, dragging ex-Vice Admiral Rampart with them the whole way!

After rescuing the baddie last week in "Juggernaut," Clone Force 99 meets up with Echo, who has gotten them a stolen Imperial shuttle. According to Rampart, they must sneak onto a station over Coruscant to get the coordinates to Tantiss. Rampart will come with them, disguised as a captain and them as his security detail, to get on board.

Things go fairly smoothly until they get to the control room. It turns out they can't just extract the coordinates from the science vessel about to leave. That's because the vessel won't get the coordinates until right before they launch to hyperspace. The team splits up, which is where the stress comes in:

Echo sneaks onboard the science vessel all by himself to turn off the proximity sensors. This way, Hunter can take their shuttle, stick it to the bottom of the science ship, and hitch a ride to Tantiss.

It's tense as Echo has to dodge the guards outside and avoid detection inside. At the last second, he is able to get the sensors offline. Hunter attaches their shuttle at the last moment, and our heroes ride off into hyperspace to save Omega on Tantiss! However, there is one catch.

Rampart is still with Clone Force 99 and heading to Tantiss with them, which is an interesting development. He clearly hates the clones and doesn't believe in their cause. However, the Empire framed and imprisoned him. We'll have to wait and see what he does next week.
