Is Paul Bettany joining the cast of Han Solo?
Ron Howard tweets an onset photo revealing a possible new cast member for Han Solo — Paul Bettany…
In the midst of Force Friday II while we are all taking in all of the new merchandise for The Last Jedi and receiving a new trailer for season 4 of Rebels, Ron Howard tweeted an on-set photo of himself and Paul Bettany, revealing the veteran actor might be joining him in the upcoming untitled Han Solo film.
Bettany, who played Vision in the Avengers and also voiced the fan favorite Jarvis in Iron Man, retweeted Howard’s original tweet, responding with:

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bettany may have been cast to replace Michael K. Williams, who left the set of the Han Solo film due to reshoots conflicting with his own filming schedule, for the movie The Red Sea Diving Resort.
Bettany is rumored to be playing a smaller role, taking over for William’s character, one being half creature/half human. With the addition of Paul Bettany to the mix, however, we wonder if the role will become something bigger than it was originally intended, or perhaps, something entirely different.
We do know that Donald Glover has finished filming his part for a young Lando, so this could be a quick filming session, with the project hopefully nearing the end of its shooting.
This will be the third time that Ron Howard and Paul Bettany will be collaborating on a film, with previous join efforts in Academy Award-winning A Beautiful Mind and the highly acclaimed The Da Vinci Code.
These two men have a successful history together and we hope they’ll be working together again in the new Han Solo movie.

That would be nothing but good news for us whenever when the film hits theaters in May of 2018.
