Was Ahsoka Tano in the Star Wars Rebels Mid-Season trailer?
Were our eyes deceiving us or was that Ahsoka Tano in the latest Star Wars Rebels trailer?
Dave Filoni and Lucasfilm came through in the clutch once again, giving us Star Wars fans what we’ve been waiting for — the latest (and last) trailer for Star Wars Rebels. If you were living under a rock on Dagobah or playing with Porgs during your exile on Ach-To and missed it, stop what you’re doing and enjoy the trailer.
Good. Now that you’re spun up and have caught your breath, this Star Wars Rebels footage played with our hearts, didn’t it? Seeing Kanan for perhaps the last time struck deep down to the core, while an appearance from Sheev Palpatine himself, aka Darth Sidious/the Emperor, no doubt got your Midichlorians jumping.
However, on the more subtle side, traces of Ahsoka Tano were felt throughout the entire trailer, ones you may have blinked and missed. Does Ahsoka truly live? Will we see her in Star Wars Rebels Season 4? If you solely base those predictions off of the trailer, the answer is a resounding yes.

The obvious Ahsoka Tano moment from the trailer is when Ezra interacts with the convor, the same one we saw chilling with the Bendu in Season 3. That bird has unique and deep connections to Ahsoka, going back to the days of the Clone Wars.
During the Clone Wars, Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka journeyed to the strange world of Mortis — where it’s still unknown how much of their trip was real, or if it was a Force vision. The Jedi interact with a trio of compelling Force users: the Father, the Son, and the Daughter. During this experience, Ahsoka dies but is brought back to life by the daughter, who sacrifices her very life in the process.
The convor bird from Star Wars Rebels no doubt represents the Daughter, and now Ahsoka. Speaking of the Father, Son, and Daughter, we see a brief glimpse of them in the Rebels trailer, inside of the Jedi temple on Lothal.

In cathedral-like imagery, the trio makes their return, which no doubt has some connection to Ahsoka and her whereabouts. Speaking of which, it’s possible the image Ezra is staring at his non-other than the Force ghost of Ahsoka Tano herself.
Now, this could very well be the Emperor or even the long shot of being Obi-Wan, but this is convincingly the presence of Ahsoka herself. Ashley Eckstein, whose voiced Ahsoka since her inception, told us in a recent interview that we will see Ahsoka again in Rebels, in some way, shape, or form. Compare the image still from the trailer with the Jedi robe of times past, and the resemblance is uncanny.
What better way to return than to appear from the netherworld of the Force. Plus, it’s impossible that Darth Vader left the planet of Malachor without disposing of Ahsoka first. With her unique connection to the Daughter and her parting ways from the Jedi, she could have discovered the path to immortality that only a select few have accomplished.
